Developed by Lawsgroup, D2 Place is a culture and creativity hub that houses fashion boutiques, creative markets, and lifestyle stores all under one roof. Being one of the most popular malls in West Kowloon, D2 Place was looking for a comprehensive, mall-level membership system to offer personalized shopping experiences and digitized event management to customers.
APPROACH OF PROJECT
Seamless integration with in-house systems
Well-understood the client's existing IT infrastructure and operational needs, the team decided to separate the frontend (the mobile-first interface) with the backend system (API), in order to facilitate seamless integration with in-house systems and prepare for possible extensions in the future.
Develop full mock-up for internal training
Building things that work for everyone is one of our principles. As the new membership and booking systems will be used across various teams, we have built a full clickable mock-up to demonstrate all possible use cases as well as provide comprehensive guidelines to the related parties.
Customized solution to cope with ever-changing business needs
A customized and agile content management system was developed to cater ad-hoc data updates and fulfill fast-changing business needs in the retail industry such as weekend markets, event booking management, as well as payment, in order to minimize manual efforts and increase operational efficiency.

With the new launch of the membership system, customers are able to review their points rewards for spending, redeem e-vouchers and make applications for event bookings, in one go, while the team and event organizers are able to enjoy an efficient operational experience such as online RSVP and QR code admission etc.
